PEORIA PIRATES COACH BRUCE COWDREY CLEANING UP HIS OFFICE ONE DAY AFTER BEING FIRED AS PIRATES COACH.

COWDREY ORIGINALLY WAS STILL GOING TO COACH THE PIRATES ON FRIDAY. BUT NOW HE'S OUT. ASSISTANTS WILL COACH THE TEAM FRIDAY AT GREEN BAY.

COWDREY LED PEORIA TO TWO INDOOR TITLES, BUT THE PIRATES ARE OFF TO A ONE-AND- FIVE START THIS SEASON.

Cowdrey didn't pay the players. It is Doug McGregor the owner who runs the team from Texas. Why did they not consult the owner/GM who control paychecks? This seems to be a common thing in this league. But that's what you get when you can only sign an AF2 contract for $200 a game. Ask anyone who works for the league, "it's more about the entertainment, not necessarily the quality of players." This league sucks and will fail just like AFL did. Wait till the end of July.
