Illinois State University today unveiled a brand new statue honoring both former ISU baskteball player Doug Collins and ISU basketball coach Will Robinson. The statue sits just outside the main entrance to Redbird Arena.

Doug Collins averaged over 29 points a game in his three year ISU career. Collins was named both an All-American and an academic All-American.

Will Robinson became the first African-American NCAA Division One men's basketball coach in 1970. He coached the Redbirds for five seasons. His most-heralded player was Doug Collins.
