Farmington High football campers were busy blocking, tackling, and getting autographs today. Boomer Grigsby was the guest speaker at camp today. Grigsby, the former Canton High and ISU Redbirds star, is about to begin his 5th NFL season.

Grigsby spent his first three years as a Kansas City Chief. Last year, he was cut after starting the first game of the year for the Miami Dolphins. Now, Grigsby joins his third NFL team as a Houston Texan fullback. Boomer feels good about his chances to make the team. "Historically, they've been a team that keeps two fullbacks and right now there's only two on the roster." Still, Grigsby is working hard to make sure he can make the roster and push Texan starting fullback Vonta Leach.

Boomer spoke to both sessions of Farmington Football Camp today. The camp attracted nearly 90 players. Every player attends camp for free in Farmington!
