Independent Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader visited Illinois State University Monday to talk to students about civic engagement.

But not before he expressed his disappointment in the other presidential hopefuls and their mud–slinging campaigns.

Nader said enough was enough. Hhe even scrutinized presidential candidate Barak Obama for comments made about small town midwesterners.
Last week Obama, while discussing Midwest towns, made comments about bitter blue–collar workers.
Shortly thereafter, presidential candidate Hilary Clinton attempted to use the comments to turn voters against him.

Monday Ralph Nader declared it dirty campaigning that had to stop. He called it:.

"Juvenile dialogue that is embarrassing and demeaning to the voters, and to anyone else looking at this country from around the world."

Nader suggests that voters ought to expect more from their elected officials, and hold them accountable for their childish antics.
But Illinois students seem to have only one candidate in mind.

"I'm definitely choosing Obama," said ISU student Renee Costanzo.

"I would probably say Obama," said ISU student Allison Graham.

"I'm not terribly impressed with any of them, but Obama's my best bet," said ISU student Ben Hansen.

Despite the strong support for Obama, many ISU students are tired of the scrappy campaigning by the front running candidates and some are exploring other options
Jovan Mladinic says that former Republican candidate and Libertarian Ron Paul is his guy.

"I would say his views on anything from the border, to guns, to abortion, to drug use, anything that common people...he is not an eliteist, he doesn't take tax summations from corporations. He kinda wants to give us our money back."
