The American Red Cross teams up to give people a rocking good time.

The Red Cross... An East Peoria High School economics class, radio station 105–point–7 "The X" and the Peoria Civic Center are hosting the event Rock N' Roll Up Your Sleeve.
Former St. Jude patient Sarah Johnson understands why there is always a need.

"I received 68 pints of blood and 32 pints of platelets and that's just one person," said former St. Jude patient Sara Johnson.

"Do as much as you can for your community and anything such as donating blood is a good way to start," said EPHS student Cassie Lohmeier.

The Rock N Roll Up Your Sleeve event is this Thursday at the Civic Center from 1 until 7 p–m.
A concert starts at 4 and goes until 11 p–m. Anyone who donates blood gets in free and if you cannot give blood, a 10–dollar donation to the red cross gets you into the concert.
You can even donate blood even if you don't want to go to the free concert.
WEEK/WAOE is also hosting a blood drive this month on Monday, August 25th from noon until 6pm.
