As vacation season draws to an inevitable close, Bob Jacobs wanted to take a nostalgic trip down a very familiar American highway.

He takes us on what looks like a long ride just a short distance away in our Postcard from Home.

The J.H. Hawes Grain Elevator Museum is open for tours on Sundays in June, July and August from 1-3 p.m. Tours are free and open to the public but donations are accepted. You can also arrange a tour by phoning 217-648-2056.

The Atlanta Public Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30 - 8 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays 12:30 - 4 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m - 3 p.m.
