Vice President Speaks at Partners in Peace Brunch

Vice President Joe Biden is speaking in Peoria this Wednesday noon hour.

The nation's second in command is the keynote speaker at the Partners in Peace brunch. That is taking place at the Peoria Civic Center.

The event is sponsored by the Center for Prevention of Abuse.

The Vice President is flank by Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, former Congressman from the 18th District, and also by Illinois Senator Dick Durbin.

Martha Herm, the center's director, introduced Biden and earlier telling News 25, that Biden was instrumental when he was a Senator in getting legislation passed that funds the center's operations. The Senator devoted to combating domestic violence and abuse.

People paid one hundred dollars a ticket to see and hear the Vice President. Twelve hundred people attended that brunch.
