East Peoria Warehouse Burglarized

By Manda Barger

A big warehouse in East Peoria was burglarized this afternoon.

East Peoria police were called to the federal warehouse storage facility on Route 1-16 around 1:30 after a semi-truck driver saw suspicious activity.

When police got to the scene... the suspets were not found and left a mess at the crime scene.

Due to the size of the warehouse, Tazewell county and state police were also at the scene.

While police investigated, production at the moving and storage facility was halted.

An East Peoria police seargent says that after searching the buildings... the investigation was turned over to detectives. The alleged burglars are still at large. No one was injured during the break-in.

i'm a selfish jerk?! LOL. maybe. considering the fact that you clearly arent capable of forming complete and understandable sentences, i suggest you rejoin the discussions sometime after puberty, and after you have gotten a real education that doesnt make you look like an uneducated idiot.

Ironic isn't it? This time at least a company got taken instead of them robbing their customers as usual.

sleep well "hope everything", family photo albums and the rest of the junk you speak of wasnt the target of these theives. it appears they were after something alot more valuable and alot less traceable - cigarettes. now we KNOW a carton of smokes costs way too darn much! it doesnt seem that long ago, when people used to rob BANKS. hahaha

Maybe we should submit a "we hear you" to WMBD to find out why WEEK can't spell and gets information wrong, but continues to win awards for news reporting.

Smiling Angel has a great idea. Hire someone who is laid off to proofread and edit articles. Maybe if people have work/money they won't have to burglarize places. I don't think anyone is "worrying" more about the typos than the actual event, I believe they are just trying to make a point.

when people have nothing better to do with their time they take it upon themselves to pick everything apart right down to a typo but about the burglery we are going to see more and more of this maybe if we put alittle haiti relief money right here in our state maybe these things would hault to exsist

Some people thats all they have to do is worry about proper spelling and punctuation. The people writing these articles are college interns see what a college education can do for you.

My company has equipment stored inside that warehouse. It is full of people’s personal belongings and family heirlooms. I hope nothing of value was ruined or taken and everyone involved is captured and charged the maximum the law allows. We as a society need to start making examples of people who break the law. Who cares about a stupid typo? No one is perfect not even those who claim to be.

Something major like this happens to one of our local businesses and you all worried about the grammar of the article?? WOW!!

I have been laid off of my job for over six months now and I would be happy to take minimum wage to proofread/edit these articles because every single article that I read has more than one typo in it! I am not being a smart a** either...just saying....lol!!!
