On the GOP side of the race to get the Illinois U.S. Senate Seat and to replace Roland Burris, fiscal and social conservative Patrick Hughes
trails leading primary opponent Congressman Mark Kirk in the polls.

But the Hinsdale Real Estate Developer says with a struggling economy and state government plagued by scandal, he's the republican who can also win independent and democratic support in the general election.

This is the 40-year-old husband and father of three's first time to run for a public office.

Besides Hughes and Kirk, five other republicans, Robert Zadek, Kathleen Thomas, Donald Lowery, John Arrington and Andy Martin are seeking the republican senate nomination.

Its time for conservatives to stop supporting RINOs like Kirk even if it means losing the seat.

I know Illinois voters well, and there is no way that Hughes will get the support of Independents and Democrats in this State. As a matter of fact, his support among Conservatives is dwindling quickly as well.

Look at Hughes voting record. He's only voted three times in his life, no expierence. Is this what we want in a U.S. Senator. You want qualified candidates? Chech out Judge Lowery's qualifacations. He's the only one true conservative running.
