Senate Candidates Get Personal in Debate

There are four democrats running for the U.S. Senate seat now held by Roland Burris.

And they're trying to make themselves stand out among the crowd.

At their first debate, Illinois treasurer Alexi Giannoulias and former city of Chicago Inspector General David Hoffman raised some eyebrows when the campaigning got personal. The discussion heated up when Giannoulias blasted Hoffman for railing against wall street banks, when Hoffman profits from investments in some of those banks.

Hoffman snapped back Giannoulias has an interest in his family's bank, and it's not doing very well.

Chicago Urban League President Cheryle Jackson and attorney
Jacob Meister are the other two democratic primary candidates.

Are there no people from downstate to vote for in this election? I won't support any Chicago politicians. Ryan, Blago, and Obama are the worst politicians this country has ever produced.
