David Davis Mansion Features 13 Christmas Trees

While most homes have one Christmas tree, a mansion in Bloomington has 13.

The David Davis Mansion is featuring 13 Victorian style decorated Christmas trees.

The tours are free to the public.

The mansion was built by one of Abraham Lincoln's closest friends and has attracted local interest.

"I have been to the mansion once before for class, but I've never went to the Christmas show," said Erica Stein. "It seemed like it'd be really interesting. Me and my friends came out to see what it was all about."

Besides seeing these beautiful trees, tourists can also find out the full history of Christmas trees and Saint Nick.

There are two other mansions in Bloomington with trees on display.

The Pettengill Morron House has 6 decorated trees. They have 14 if you count all of the small ones and the ones in the gift shop. See the Peoria Historical Society website for dates and times when you go and see them. Santa Claus will be there on Sunday, December 13th from 2-4 pm.
