Alleged Rapist and Jail Escapee Forcibly Removed From Court

An alleged serial rapist... most recently in the headlines for a Peoria county jail break...was forcibly removed from a courtroom this morning.

46-year old James Fuller voluntarily agreed to sit out his jury trial after making two outbursts during opening statements today.

Fuller is on trial for a home invasion and criminal sexual assualt.

Today Fuller attempted to delay his trial saying he was not feeling well and he needed his medication.

After an hour long recess, the court learned Fuller had refused his medications for some time.

When the jury returned, Fuller again again became disruptive shouting, "This is the devil's courtroom... the DNA didn't match... I'm not going to be here give me the death penalty today."

The jury was removed again and Circuit Judge Michael Brandt called Fuller's courtroom demeanor mere "shannigans" and yet another attempt to delay courtroom proceedings.

The trial continued without the defendant in the courtroom.

Fuller played the system at the jail, allowing him to dig away at the concrete for 8 months until he had a hole big enough to escape. Since plan "A" didn't work out very well, he now is doing pan "B". Fuller is playing the system in court. Act crazy, drag out the days in County lockup to delay going to prison, and hope the dummies in LaSalle will later throw out any conviction because the judge in Peoria did not treat your "mental illness" with respect.
