Kirk Supports Sending More Troops To Afghanistan

An Illinois Congressman who served in Afghanistan supports sending more American troops to the war-torn country. Congressman Mark Kirk was in Peoria this morning picking up an endorsement for his US Senate bid from Aaron Schock.

The five-term Republican Congressman from the Chicago area says Afghanistan is where the government should be spending taxpayer dollars. He does have concerns why the President would send 32-34 thousand troops even though the commanding General in Afghanistan wants 40,000 additional forces.

"National security of the United States is the first mission of the Federal government and when I was in Kandahar we would receive a translation of Taliban Broadcasts who would talk about their desire number one to conquer the government of Afghanistan and number two resume jihad on European and American cities. So, I don't think we have a failure option," Kirk says.

Kirk is one of eight republican candidates in the February Primary seeking Roland Burris' Senate Seat.

Boy now here is a picture for you. Tweedle-Dee and Dweedle-Dumb. What about OBL? Isn't that what is missing from all of this. The new American policy should be to bomb the mountains level and then NOT rebuild. I don't know much about Kirk, but Schock is an absolute idiot when it comes to knowing what is best for the United States. He is just another trained Republican puppy whose sole mission is to see Obama fail. Billions more for war, but nada for healthcare for those who pay the bills.
