Two Illinois women have been awarded damages by a jury in Philadelphia hearing a lawsuit against Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
Juries found the drug company hid the cancer risk in taking the hormone replacement therapy Prempro.
Peorian Connie Barton was awarded $3.75 million dollars in compensation last month.
The Philadelphia Inquirer, quoting sources close to the lawsuit, says Wyeth has been ordered to pay 75 million dollars in punitive damages as well.
A lawyer from Wyeth was quoted as saying the company would appeal.
A Decatur woman, Donna Kendall, was awarded $28 million in punitive damages as well.
