It's a tradition for many in Central Illinois. The Festival of Lights is here.
Monday night the wreath was lit and will glow bright in East Peoria until January.

Jessica Stake of East Peoria is the reigning 2009 Miss Festival of Lights.

The 19th annual FOLEPI River Trail Classic, an East Peoria Festival of Lights event, occurs on the River Trail of Illinois on Saturday, November 28th at 8:30 a.m.

The Festival of Lights annual Parade of Lights always occurs the Saturday after Thanksgiving, this year on November 28th at 5:45 p.m., on three miles of Washington Street starting on one side of the city and ending just past downtown. The parade features 30 floats.

The almost 2-mile drive-through electric park is the Festival of Lights' signature event. Folepi's Winter Wonderland features the majority of the Parade of Lights floats and many other lighted displays. And this year will feature the return of some favorite displays from the past 25 years. Open December 4th through the 31st and begins at 5 p.m. each night.
