Governor Quinn Signs Bill to help Medicaid

Cash-strapped Illinois has found some money to help pay Medicaid providers in the state.

Governor Pat Quinn signed a bill Friday that actually taps into federal dollars to send money to thousands of Illinois hospitals...and other providers such as pharmacists.

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says, "I think it'll be more than a billion dollars more in Medicaid match from Washington for the state of Illinois. We're blessed to have so many good hospitals in Illinois and we can't forget we have many, many people who work at hospitals and in health care, and we have to make sure they continue to work and get their paychecks on time, especially here at the holidays."

Quinn says the federal matching dollars, however, are only available through the end of next year.

To Doctor Obvious, Shame on you for saying that. It's a good program for all kids. It's a blessing to have that. Health care is expensive, this is good to those with out. Shame on you. Shame on you!!!!!
