67 New Officers to Join Illinois State Police

The Illinois State Police Department announced that 67 new officers will be joining its ranks.

The officers just graduated from a 25 week training program at the Illinois State Police Academy.

They will be assigned to districts across the state to begin their patrol duties.

Local districts that will be receiving new officers include District 8's office in Metamora, District 6 in Pontiac, and District 17's LaSalle office.

Once there, they will report to their assignments on Monday to begin a 14-week field training program.

you have no idea about law enforcement do you? state police focus on highways in the state....they dont handle murders, domestics, etc.

Where are the rest of them going to Chicago. Just what we need between Peoria and Morton more state police. There seems to be more State Police between Peoria and Morton then anywhere else in the state.
