By the dozens, doses of the H-1-N-1 vaccine went out local residents this weekend.

Five communities in Knox County all had clinics going on Saturday morning.

More than a thousand doses of the nasal spray or shot were distributed.

There were also clinics in Fulton and McLean Counties.

Peoria finally got its shipment of 10-thousand doses.

But, the doses will be restricted to those in the highest risk.

Peoria County's first clinic is tomorrow afternoon at I-V-C High School in Chillicothe.

Tuesday's clinic is in Peoria at Woodrow Wilson School.

...While Wednesday's at the Expo Gardens.

The doses move to Glasford on Thursday and Marshall County on Friday.

Thanks to the nurse for your reply. I highly recommend the shot if you already haven't gotten this illness. I'm relieved we were given a chance to get it. Our whole household got one and we all did great. Just take some ibuprofen b4 you go. Lol.......

I think it takes about 7-10 days to build immunity. The vaccines were distributed to local health departments from the CDC. Some health departments might charge a administration fee for the nurse to give it.

We had our shots this weekend and did quite well. No side effects at all. Does anyone know how long the shot takes to build in the system?/Does anyone know why the shot was free of cost??/
