Bikers hit the road for a cause

The roar of motorcycles filled the air Saturday in Central Illinois.
About 400 bikes hit the road for the 21st annual Tucker's Toys For Tots Poker Run.

The event is sponsored by Walter Brothers Harley Davidson in conjunction with the Peoria Motorcycle Club.

Last year 1,500 toys were donated and collected. But with the great weather this weekend organizers are hoping to surpass that number.

"To go on the ride they either bring in a toy of $10 value or they donate money which will be used to buy the toys for Toys For Tots in the area," said Brad Wiebler of Walter Brothers Harley Davidson.

"Toys For Tots brings out a lot of bikers," said tracy Ruble, one of the participants in Saturday's ride. "Most of these guys, you see them everyday and you don't realize that they'll come out for a charity event like this. It's a good cause."

Over the years more than 16,000 kids have received toys from donations to the Poker Run ride.
