The owner of the ShopRite grocery store on Peoria's south side is behind bars.

Vasant Patel appeared in Peoria County bonding court Friday on felony drug charges.

He has been charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver a legend drug.

The Peoria County State's Attorney's office says Patel allegedly sold Vigara pills out of his office in the grocery store.

His bond has been set at $10,000.

This kind of issues should be Drug Control Board issue and precription drugs , nothing more. By looking one mistake we can not blame all foreigners specially Hindu Indians who gave us 1000s pf Doctors, Pharmacists and more. The are way different than muslims. they are very hardworking people. Law and order should do their job honestly without looking skin or their believes. God bless you all.

Seems like us taxpayers are the loosers here. If this guy is convicted, we'll pay for his incarceration plus loose what tax revenue his business and he personally paid. This is more a prescritption cost problem than anything else. The free market will always win in the end.

Seems we are getting a good collection of these people that are thumbing there nose at the rules in USA, and then skip out with the money, wonder if that the money used to cause injury to our guys fighting to protect there country.
