The Mclean county state's attorney has dropped murder charges against 22-year-old Joshua Anderson Mcguire.

Mcguire was arrested nearly a year ago for the stabbing death of Joshua Embry outside a Bloomington tavern.

Now, state's attorney Bill Yoder says additional information has developed that warranted dismissing the murder charges.

Yoder says the investigation of Embry's stabbing will continue.
