No Candidates Running Against Secretary of State In Primaries Yet

Democrats and supporters held a fundraiser tonight for Secretary of State Jesse White.

Secretary of State for eleven years, Jesse White is running unopposed in the primary.

Jesse White enacted a database service in August 2009 that allows drivers to add two emergency contacts to their driver's license.

Law enforcement can have access to the database in the event that the driver is incapable of communicating directly.

Also, Jesse White's law which bans texting while driving will go in effect January 1st.

"It's probably the most dangerous act that a person can get involved with. Here you are, thinking about what you're going to say, concerning yourself with the sentence structure, wanting to make sure your spelling is correct and then you have to hit the right keys. While this is taking place, the question is asked, 'who's driving the car?'" says White.
