State Representative Mike Boland launched his campaign for Illinois Lt. Governor.

The Democrat from East Moline has more than 15–years of experience as a member of the State Legislature and is current Chairman of the Higher Education committee in the Illinois House.

Boland will be part of a crowded field seeking the party's nomination for the state's second-highest executive post.
