The at risk groups for any flu strain are the young, the elderly, and the people with an underlying medical condition. The underlying medical condidtion weakens your body making it less able to handle colds or flu. These are the groups that usually die from the flu every year.

Freethinker perhaps you need to research your info a bit more before making such comments. Approximately 500 deaths have occurred in the US alone due to the H1N1 this year and we are just beginning to approach the intense part the season where flu is more rampant. When you get this virus or someone you love does, then perhaps you will find it in your heart to share compassion with others. Many people are suffering with this illness and many are losing loved ones. My prayers for those in need!

It's only two people in McLean County, geniuses. Obviously it's killed more people elsewhere.

that sucks..but what are the "underlying" conditions that effect this flu so bad?...and it hasnt killed just two people this year.

1000 people a DAY die of choking in the U.S. I'm finding it hard to be afraid of something that kills at a rate of two people A YEAR.
