Some Bradley University pubilc relations students came up with a class project that will also help people get jobs.

Local groups Counseling and Family Services and Advantage Staffing are joining forces to help people get jobs.

The two organizations are giving members of the community tools and resources needed to reinvent themselves and gain employment.

Counseling and Family Services Executive Director, Douglas Allan, says after the students thought up the idea, he hopes to continue the partnership through the years.

Counseling and Family Services Executive Director Douglas Allan says, "This is an opportunity to bring together a partnership of agencies and business all with the same purpose of getting people employed and in order to do that we're looking at both the strengths that they bring to the table and the barriers they might have to getting successful employment."

The project's first event will be this Saturday from 10 to 1:30 in the afternoon at the Gateway Building.

It will be a workshop where people can go and ask questions to various organizations about getting a job.

It is open to the public.
