Giving Away Treats

A local dentist has a solution for you.

Trick or treaters can bring excess candy to Maple Shade Dental group in Dunlap and East Peoria.

It's an anti-tooth decay movement that can net trick or treaters one dollar per pound of candy, coupons, toothbrushes, toothpaste and a bag of other goodies and prizes.

The candy will then be sent to troops serving in Afghanistan.

In just a couple of hours 60 pounds of candy was collected.

It's a shame kids can't be kids anymore. Yes the candy collected goes to a good cause but let the kids enjoy being kids before this world takes all the fun out of life.
