If you are on a tight budget, you may be wondering how you are going to pay your upcoming heating bills.

Monday, Governor Pat Quinn urged low income households to sign up for assistance. The program is called Low Income Energy Assistance Program or LI–HEAP.

The state received 174–million dollars in federal funds to assist low–income families this winter.

Sign up in Peoria is November 19th and you can make an appointment by call the PCCEO at 671-3900.

If you don't live in Peoria, you can call toll free 877–411–WARM to find a location near you.
