A huge crowd turned out for McLean County's second H1N1 clinic Thursday.
Plenty of signs, organizers and volunteers were on hand directing the hundreds of people who turned out for the vaccination clinic.
"Everybody in the health department has gotten involved. We have most of our staff here today in one way or another," said Susan Albee. " We've had planning meetings with the Emergency Management Association of McLean County and the police department is helping us."
Albee says the health department got a couple dozen extra nurses to help administer the vaccine. Nurse Joanne Mecherle is with the Medical Reserve Corp, a special team activated to help during medical emergencies.
"It's something that we all love to do. This is what the M.R.C. is all about. We've been prepared for this event, that's why we're here," said Joanne Mecherle.
County health officials say 150 volunteers from throughout the community helped with the clinic at the Interstate Center in Bloomington. Mike Doherty says he was glad to get his two daughters in line early.
"No one's trying to cut in line, everybody's just trying to do the same thing get their kids taken care of," said Doherty.
McLean County Health Department officials say with so many people wanting the H1N1 vaccine they had to limit it to McLean County residents only and they expect to use more than half of the six thousand doses at this clinic.
