Wow I wish we all could write all we want to do on our jobs. UPDATE From now on at my job the only thing I will do is clock in and sit down and only call me if there is a severed head or 2500 dollars repair. Oh by the way, your still going to pay me and also pay my insurance just in case I fall asleep and fall out of my chair and hurt myself.

I live on Grosenbach Rd,Washington. We call the County if we need help but it's a hopeless cause. I call our road Grosenbach Speedway because drivers treat it as such. You can see tire prints that are in people's yard and cornfield where curves are missed. Can't get help from anyone! I walk my dog everyday, there's a school at the church-I guess we have to wait until someone gets killed! Also they use our road as a dumping ground for McDonalds, etc. I pick up garbage to keep road clean. nice, huh?

I just moved to washington and I gotta tell you that Devonshire and Westgate area needs work for speeders. These two streets also are a road block for allowing people to park on both sides of the street. I understand the pool and 5 points is in the area and that is why all the traffic is there but there are kids on bikes all over those two streets. some kid is going to get hit if something is not done to stop the speeding through that area.

People who respond should really read there comments carefully...some sound so chidish. Complaining the way some of you do here is not the answer. As adults, attend town meetings so your comments will be heard in person and noted. All town citizens are welcome to come. SOME of you people need to grow up. Hacking on the Chief's new car here, will not accomplish much at all.

Well they have NEVER helped me when I have called for a crisis. They are very quick to judge people and always on the lookout for the misdemeanors, but heaven forbid they come when you actually need them. Emergency???? This topwn was better off with about half the force they have now!

Oh Yeah lets have all the cops in town show up for someone driving withiout a seatbelt.... or better yet .. why didn't we read about the cop who rearended a vehicle in the left turn lane because they were too busy looking at the bar! Yes I agree sell the SUV and unmarked cars!

Good, my taxes should go down now. Maybe they should sell the un-marked cars they have as well. Oh, and while they are at it they should sell the Chiefs new SUV. What does Washington Police need with a SUV? Never in the history of the Washington police department have they had anything other than a car and now all the sudden they need a brand new SUV. Oh, and the un-marked cars, seriously, is there so much high level crime in Washington that we need un-marked cars??

Question: don't be ridiculous. I am sure Washington is just doing what Peoria, and pretty much every other department does already. Crashes on private property between vehicles where no injury or criminal activity has taken place, won't be taking the time of the police department so they can pursue more serious matters. I am sure those in an accident will exchange information and turn it in to the insurance companies.

In other words if it isn't a dire emergency don't bug the police for stupid baloney that you can help yourself with. Same goes for the 9-11 system; don't call 9-11 if you didn't get your burger in time or if you can't find your shoes or if you're out of milk. The Police respond to EMERGENCIES... life & death stuff.

So Chief, if I get run over walking out of Walmart there won't be a report taken? Maybe we just switch insurance information.
