Unusual circumstances surrounding the death of a Hanna City man Thursday have officials puzzled.

68 year-old Robert Welchel was found unresponsive in front of his home on the 5300 block of Hanna City Glassford Road this afternoon, where officials say he was trapped under his overturned lawnmower.

Welchel was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say likely causes of death include asphyxiation and internal injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

So sorry for the family. Will live close by and just last week my grandmother was found under her lawnmower. Luckily a neighbor saw and they were able to get her out, it took 6 guys to lift it off.
