Home Sales Up in Bloomington-Normal

Home sales in the Bloomington–Normal area are up for the sixth straight month this year.

In June – 237 existing homes were sold – an increase of 35–homes.

While the Bloomington–Normal Association of Realtors says this is a good sign for the housing market... the numbers are down from the same time last year.

About 6–percent fewer homes were sold in 2009 compared to 2008.
New home sales are down from 36 in May to 22 in June.
