Two tornadoes were spotted this afternoon with the storms that rolled through the area. The storms slowly moved through Central Illinois producing just rain for many folks.
The National Weather Service Storm Reports indicate a Peoria County Sheriff's Deputy spotting a tornado near the Glasford-Canton blacktop. The Deputy reported only a brief touchdown about 3 miles northwest of Glasford at 4:55 Wednesday afternoon.
Strong storms also blew through the southern sections of Fulton County into Mason and Logan Counties. A storm spotter with the San Jose Fire Protection District reported that a tornado touched down 2 miles east-southeast from Easton just after five in the evening.
Authorities in those counties report no serious damage was done with tree branches being blown down and flash flooding on a couple roadways from the heavy rain. The Peoria Airport reports just under an inch of rain from the storms that rolled through on Wednesday.
As the storms leave, steamy weather will arrive. Expect temperatures to climb into the mid to upper 80's with humid conditions on Thursday. The rain chances return on Friday and Saturday.
