Local fans are remembering the King of Pop the best way they can, through his legendary music.

Co-Op Records in East Peoria has seen a huge increase in Michael Jackson record sales since the singer's death more than a week ago.

The albums "Thriller" and "Michael Jackson's Greatest Hits" are in the highest demand.

Assistant Manager Luke Gleason said "Twenty minutes after he was pronounced dead we probably sold everything that we had in the store and didn't have anything for a couple days, but we do now."

Gleason says fans find the music nostalgic.

He expects that the high record sales will last for at least another month.
