Peoria police have a teenager in custody for shooting at a postal truck Thursday afternoon.

Officers say the incident happened around 2 o'clock at Western and Millman in Peoria.

They received a report of a shot fired into a postal truck. The postal carrier was not injured.

Based on the carrier's description of the suspect, police arrested 18–year old Orlando Mack and confiscated a sawed rifle in his apartment.
He is in the county jail.

I want to add, THANK YOU WEEK for putting a target on all of the carriers backs by broadcasting to gangland that it was the carrier's description that brought on the arrest. Any postal truck that comes within that area is going to be a target!

All I want to say is that I'm thankful my friend is safe. I was on the phone with him just mins after this happened. I too am a carrier and we walk these streets of hell everyday! This just hit too close to home! I can't publish on this website what I want to happen to the person who pulled the trigger. All I can say is, I do no wish him well!

all i want to know is why, i did nothing but what i was asked to do, my job. What if i had stepped a second earlier as i usually do and got my parcels out the back? I probably would have been hit in the back and my two daughters would probably have a paralyzed dad who couldn't support his family. Next time maybe you will think before you act.
