Peoria Teen Suspect in Monday Homicide

A Peoria teenager, arrested Tuesday night, is a suspect in Monday's homicide case.

17–year–old Jacorey Shettleworth is currently being held on a robbery charge, but Peoria County Assistant State's Attorney Steve Patelli says he is a suspect in the slaying of 45–year–old Jonathan Pickett.

Pickett's body was found Monday night in the 700 block of Greenlawn Avenue. He'd been shot multiple times.

Shettleworth remains in the Peoria County jail.

Pickett's slaying marked the fifth homicide in Peoria this year.
