Murals Popping Up In Pontiac

Tools

By WEEK Producer

The small town of Pontiac went to the dogs... Wall Dogs, that is.

Over the weekend, 18 artistic teams from across the country gathered to paint historic memories of the town in the "Chief City Runs With the Dogs" event. Pontiac resident Barb Swanson sent us these photos of the murals that are depicted through several locations.

The murals honored certain historical places such as Route 66, Rodino Square, Chatauqua Park, and the once significant electric railway that travel throughout Central Illinois and made stops in Pontiac.
