Man Accused in Peoria Home Invasion is on Trial

A man accused of taking part in a home invasion and shooting testified on behalf of prosecutors Wednesday.

Anthony Anderson is on trial for allegedly shooting Joe Pocius in the head in September.

Prosecutors say Anderson and two other men entered the home on Starr Street in Peoria demanding money and drugs.

Anderson's accomplices are testifying against him as part of a plea bargain.

The prosecution argues that when Pocius struck Anderson, Anderson shot Pocius in the head. Pocius remains paralyzed from the shooting.

Because of Anderson's previous convictions, he faces up to 60 years in prison. The trial could end as early as Thursday.
