A Relay to Fight Cancer

Friends, families, and local organizations are putting their best foot forward to combat against cancer.

Morton High School hosted a Relay for Life fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.

The relay started at noon Friday and will continue on for the next 24 hours.

Organizers say it's more than the fight, but also about the community.

"Actually the whole event is about a community taking up a fight and our Morton community is always good about supporting relay and fighting cancer and that’s why we are here," said Catheryne Grimm.

Organizers switched days of the original event in hopes of more attendees.
