The Attorney for Lindbergh Middle School Principal Julie McArdle has sued District 150's administration.
The School Board last night voted to terminate McArdle's two–year contract as Lindbergh principal.
No reason for the termination was given.
But—in the lawsuit filed by McArdle's attorney—the allegation is made that McArdle's firing was a response to her questioning the actions of her predecessor at Lindbergh –Mary Davis.
Four incidents are mentioned in the suit: A student teacher being paid by the district—a violation of the rules, three middle–school students who were registered at Lindbergh –although they lived outside the school's boundaries, a counselor who worked at Lindbergh who accepted money from parents though their insurance or Medicaid, and the alleged theft of District 150 funds.
McArdle's lawsuit alleges there was a Discover Card in the name of Lindbergh School...and that charges were made to the card from Peoria Toyota, the American Girl Store, Kinko's and Best Buy.
The lawsuit alleges a payment of over 4–thousand dollars was made to the credit card company from the Lindbergh Middle School Activity Fund.
The lawsuit called hat "felony theft" on the part of Mary Davis...the ex–principal, now an academic officer of District 150.
But, District 150 says there never was a "Lindbergh Middle School credit card" issued to Mary Davis, and that only four primary schools with after–hours programs have credit cards authorized by the district.
Julie McArdle –in her lawsuit—wants reinstatement as Lindbergh principal—350–thousand dollars in damages and payment of legal fees.

So you think McArdle should just walk away and forget the unethical and illegal behavior she has uncovered along with the unethical way she has been treated?? Would you?? District 150 and certain individuals have BROKEN LAWS! I know it's protocol to let things slide at 150, but this is too much. McArdle is doing the right thing. I really don't think you would walk away from being fired like this. She has a family to support too, and isn't being selfish at all by filing the law suit.
