Dress for Success Peoria marked a milestone today, helping their one–thousandth client prepare for a job interview.
Dress for Success Peoria meets the needs of the community by providing programs that help economically disadvantaged women acquire jobs.
"We want to help women be confident and go in and get employment and retain it and really the interview the first suiting is focused on the interview and we just want them to feel confident knowing when they go into the interview that they are sure of themselves," said client services coordinator Sarah Vogler.
Women who come to Dress for Success Peoria are looking to improve not only their lives but their families as well.
"Dress for Success is a wonderful organization. We help women in transition. They're referred to us by different agencies and we first provide them with a suit and as well as interviewing skills to help them get their first job," said board member Emily Alwood.
Dress for Success is a non–profit organization with eighty programs worldwide including Canada, England, and New Zealand.
