More Layoffs at midwest Grain

After cutbacks this fall, an additional 13 employees of Midwest Grain Company in Pekin were laid off Tuesday. That's according to their union president.

The employees, all distillery workers, were told as of Tuesday morning they no longer had jobs.

They'll receive 90 days of health care in addition to unemployment.

MGP the parent company of Midwest Grain posted a 17 million dollar first quarter loss. Our attempts to contact MGP for comment were unsuccessful.
