The purchase of L R Nelson by a California based company could bring more jobs to Peoria.
Signature Control Systems Incorporated held a ribbon cutting ceremony today at the facility that manufactures irrigation equipment.
CEO, Brian Smith, says a few additional jobs have already been added to the employees formerly working for L R Nelson, and he intends to bring more jobs to the plant in the future.
"It is going to be a reasonable number as time goes by, because we see our industry as a growth industry. We see our business within that industry as a growth business. Hence, jobs prevail," said Smith.
With the new Peoria facility, Signature also has two buildings in California as well as small operations in Paris, France and Dubai.
