There will be no tethered hot air balloon rides during this year's Festival of Lights.

Festival officials got word from the Missouri aviation company that provided the free rides, that they decided to cancel their appearance in Peoria.

The free tethered rides were supposed to occur on weekends in December and on New Year's Eve.
