Working to Improve Breast Cancer Patients Care

Breast cancer can affect anyone, mothers grandmothers, daughters and even men, as patients or co–survivors.

October is Breast cancer awareness month and to help bring more attention to Breast Cance, a breast cancer symposium is taking place at the Par–a–Dice Hotel and Casino.

It's a two day event aimed at helping medical professionals improve the care of breast cancer patients.

"We're trying to educate all health care personnel from physicians to radiology technicians, surgical technicians, office staff, nurses, physicians assistants nurse practitioners to improve their delivery of health care and improve the lives ultimately of the ladies and men who unfortunately are afflicted by breast cancer," said Dr. John Murray.

The symposium will cover topics ranging from the diagnosis of the disease to life afterwards, even reconstructive surgery.

Wow! Do you know how many women and men are victims of this disease? Everyones "breast cancer is different" and the research helps other cancer research as well. I was diagnosed this spring and it had never afflicted anyone in our family. Why does it bother you so much? Get involved with another cause...are you helping?

That is all I see and hear about.You guys there is other serious illnesses,which need that much attention.What about Prostate cancer,HIV/AIDS,M.S,and the list goes on.I am so ferious hearing and seeing things about Breast Cancer awareness,that I am about to scream and pull my hair out the next time I see another company or organitization support this cause.It has all the attention it has received.Lets focus on others,as much as this one has received.
