Major changes are on the horizon for Bradley University.
School officials have landed a $30 million contribution courtesy of Caterpillar for their capital campaign.
The University is in the midst of its 'Campaign for a Bradley Renaissance' that will help bring about 200 million dollars worth of new facilities to the campus.
Times are quickly changing at Bradley University.
The Construction seen around on campus is now just the beginning.
"We've got a lot of needs and we want to make this a preeminent worldwide institution...with first class facilities first class faculty we're in a first class community, " says Bradley University President Joanne Glasser.
First class amenities like a new men's basketball practice facility...the renovation and expansion of Westlake Hall along with a new Engineering and Business Convergence Center.
But that's not the only engineering change. Bradley's College of Engineering and Technology will be renamed Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology.
"This is certainly one of our largest gifts ever to an academic institution.
We have a great relationship with Bradley and we hope this will further extend it and take us both to a new level of excellence," says Caterpillar Chairman/Ceo Jim Owens.
President Joanne Glasser admits raising 150 million dollars for their University's capital campaign is a lofty undertaking.
But it's one she says they will meet.
"I'll go out on a limb and say that it's my hope and certainly my commitment that we not only meet this very bold and ambitious goal but that we exceed it."
President Glasser says for every University there are renaissance moments and their public capital campaign launch is one of them.
