Illinois Wesleyan University has been awarded a $200,000 grant to help students who are undecided on their majors.

The money comes from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation and will allow IWU to implement an Advising Center on campus.

According to a release from the University, the grant money will enable the school to offer more extensive help to students.

Jeff Frick, Wesleyan's Assistant Provost, says studies show that students who are undeclared in their majors have a greater tendency to transfer to other schools.

He hopes the Advising Center will help students along in their academic and career path.
