Illinois Eye Center Warns Clients of ID Theft

By Tom McIntyre

Peoria's Illinois Eye Center has warned its clients that a former employee allegedly accessed confidential patient records.

According to Illinois Eye Center's Sandra Glunz, the former employee may have targeted women between 18 and 25 for identity theft.

According to Sheriff Mike McCoy, the possible ID theft only came to light during an investigation by a County detective, who notified Illinois Eye Center.

As many as five young women may have been targeted.
Illinois Eye Center has asked clients to check their credit standing to make sure they have not been victims of ID theft.
