The sex abuse trial of a former Unit five and Urbana District grade school teacher has been moved.
Jon White was in Champaign County Court Thursday,.and was granted a change of venue for his upcoming trial.

Judge Harry Clem decided to move Jon White's trial from Champaign County to Macon County.
He wants to ensure that White gets a fair and impartial jury for his trial.
State's Attorney Julia Rietz agrees.

"We believe we could pick a fair and impartial jury, but at the same time there has been so much coverage and so many facts that are out there, that it would be difficult, and the last thing we need to do is to have to try this case again," said Rietz.

White's trial in Macon County will begin February 25th.

He has another hearing in McLean County is scheduled for January 23rd
