Students To Testify In Teacher Abuse Trial

Two McLean county girls will testify at the Champaign County trial of a former teacher accused of sex crimes.

Jon White is accused of molesting nine of his second grade students at Thomas Paine elementary school in Urbana.

That took place during what were called "tasting games".

The two Mclean County girls accuse white of similar acts when he taught grade school in Unit 5..

Today, Champaign Judge Harry Clem ruled the girls will testify to show White's intent and his possible tendency to commit sexual offenses.

White's lawyers have subpoenaed Champaign media outlets as part of a change of venue request to be heard later this week.

A similar request is expected for his McLean County trial on sex charges.
