Political Ice Cream Flavors Debuts in Peoria

With the inauguration of the new president coming up shortly, Peoria's Spotted Cow Ice Cream parlor is getting into the festive mood.

Owner Frank Abdnour has come with a special Presidential flavor...the "Rocky Road To Recovery"...

The "Rocky Road To Recovery" is a vanilla–based ice cream, and there's a pecan praline sauce we make. We stir in Snickers, a Belgian chocolate and marshmallows, according to Abdnour.,

Being bi–partisan, Frank has also come up with a flavor honoring Peoria's new Congressman : "Aaron Schock—o–latte".
It's got peanut butter.

So far, Abdnour has avoided coming up with a flavor for Illinois' Governor, although he says he's had some suggestions he doesn't want to repeat.

The new flavors go on sale starting Saturday.
